(0 votes)The Build-a-Bear company has diversified into dolls. These soft cloth dolls come in several different hair and skin tones, and there are both boy dolls and girl dolls. Like with the teddy bears, you can choose a "heart" to be put inside the doll body as it is stuffed before you, or you can choose a pre-made doll. Accessories, furnishings, pets, and a wide variety of clothing is available to fit these dolls, which are preteen in appearance. The website allows you to plan parties at which the guests build their own dolls, and to play games, send e-cards, etc., as well as shop for dolls and accessories.

Paper Kids
(0 votes)Using a photo that you provide, the artist at Paper Kids will create a mini-portrait paper doll with outfits and accessories!
Each Paper Kids set comes with a paper kid of your child for you to cut out, and 4 pages of clothes and accessories, plus a cover featuring your child. The doll is printed on a sturdy paper stock so that it will stand up and be sturdy, just like the paper dolls you buy at the store. The dolls range in size from 5 to 11 inches, depending on the age of the child. We currently offer ages 1 to 14.
Each set also comes with 8 to 10 outfits and accessories for you to cut out and play with. The clothes are made with tabs that fold over to hold the clothes on to your paper kid. The clothes vary from dresses, shorts, and nightgowns to jeans, skirts and sweaters. We can also draw custom outfits for you, for an additional charge.
