All the amps are designed from the most simple and pure standards. The circuits are parallel feed and/or series feed. They all use independent mercury vapor rectified power supplies for each gain stage.
The power amps work with only two gain stages and utilize directly heated, thoriated tungsten filament, large plate triodes for nearly everything. There are some exceptions such as the 45, 2A3, AV8, AV20 and 300B tubes, but they will normally be driven in a circuit, along with the tungsten filament triodes, because of their superior sonic and musical qualitites.
Other design practices include transformer coupling, supreme quality, custom wound, amorphous, cobalt and nickel core chokes and transformers, solid silver chassis wiring, rhodium plated Cardas RCA jacks, stepped ladder attenuators, teflon blocking caps, PIO filter caps and specialized battery biasing. The chassis designs are created as funcitonal sculptures of metal, light and music.
